Dear Students and Colleagues,
We are delighted to announce that Evelyn Thimba has been named vice president for enrollment management. She will join the Temple community on July 15.
Currently the vice president for undergraduate enrollment management at American University, Evelyn is a respected national leader in enrollment management. She has significant experience in developing and executing integrated enrollment and student success strategies around a cohesive institutional vision. Student success is the keystone priority of our recently launched strategic plan, Forward with Purpose, and the appointment of Evelyn to this crucially important position directly advances that work.
At American, Evelyn’s leadership helped stabilize and align undergraduate enrollment recruitment, financial aid optimization and retention efforts. She has advanced a more data-informed, student-centered enrollment model while strengthening cross-campus collaboration. Specifically, she designed and implemented a comprehensive transfer enrollment strategy to expand access and diversify pipelines, which included the launch of the American Transfer Advantage program.
Prior to American, she served as senior vice president for enrollment management at Drexel University where she recruited and enrolled the four largest undergraduate first-year classes in the university’s history and exceeded enrollment and fiscal targets every year. Her work also had a direct impact on improving student success: student retention and graduation rates improved significantly, including notable increases in the graduation rates of Pell Eligible students.

We want to thank Rob Reddy, who has been serving as interim vice provost for enrollment management since January. He and the enrollment management team have done a tremendous job in ensuring the division remains on a path to success.
Please join us in welcoming Evelyn to the Temple community. We are eager to work alongside her as we continue to keep student success at the center of all we do.
Sincerely,
John Fry
President
